About The Tour
This one-hour tour is a guided walk through the Edible Forest. You’ll explore the food forest with an experienced guide, learn how it was created and maintained, and discover a wide range of edible and medicinal plants along the way. Tastings are included during the walk.
The tour finishes in our nursery and garden shop, where you can purchase plants propagated from the Edible Forest, along with small-batch preserves made on-site.
If you’d like to dig deeper into the permaculture design principles behind the forest, we recommend booking a Design Tour, which runs for up to two hours.
Add a Grazing Platter
Stay a little longer after your tour with a grazing platter for two ($58).
Relax on the Harvest Hub deck overlooking the Edible Forest, or take a picnic rug and basket and find a spot in the gardens.
To add a platter, choose Grazing platter in the booking form above, then select how many. Please order platters at least 48 hours before your tour.
Let us know any dietary requirements in the order notes at checkout. You can buy local wines and other drinks from the Harvest Hub.
Group Bookings
Groups of 10 or more adults book online, just like any other booking. The group price of $23 per adult applies automatically once you add 10 or more adults. Children (4–6) are $5 and under 4s are free.
Getting Here
Come to Yarra Valley Estate, 2164 Melba Hwy, Dixons Creek. Follow the signs along the driveway down to the Edible Forest. There’s parking near the forest, which sits just below the tennis court.
Good to Know
Last-minute bookings: To book within 48 hours of a tour, please call 03 5965 2397.
Cancellations: Tours are not refundable within 72 hours of your booking. A credit voucher will be arranged if you need to cancel within this timeframe.
