We’re looking forward to welcoming you to the Edible Forest at Yarra Valley Estate. Here is everything you need to know before your guided tour.
When to arrive
- Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled tour.
Our tours start promptly, so arriving a little early gives you time to park and make your way to the meeting point without rushing.
- Your tour date and time are included in your booking confirmation email.
What to wear and bring
The Edible Forest is an outdoor experience with garden paths and uneven ground. We recommend:
- Comfortable, enclosed walking shoes
- Clothing suitable for the weather
- A hat and sunscreen on sunny days
- A rain jacket if showers are forecast
- A refillable water bottle
Tours take place outdoors, so please check the weather before leaving home.

Getting here
The Edible Forest is located within Yarra Valley Estate, Dixons Creek, approximately one hour from Melbourne.
- 2164 Melba Highway, Dixons Creek VIC 3775
- Follow the Yarra Valley Estate signs from Melba Highway and continue along the driveway towards Reception.
- Park in the designated parking area.
- Follow the signs on foot to the Edible Forest.

After your tour
Allow some extra time to browse the Edible Forest Nursery and discover our seasonal plants and produce, subject to availability.
Grazing platters for two can be added to your booking to enjoy after your tour. They must be booked at least 48 hours before your tour. Add a platter when you book
